Sponsor a Student

Way back in 2007, some like minded people got together to give shape to their dreams. Their dream was that the society can develop if only we all win Together. The dream was to be achieved by providing opportunities and self-reliance to the less privileged children through free quality education and vocational training. Nulife Charitable Foundation Trust was thus formed by Mr. Satish Chawla and his family members and friends.
So, the journey started with the serving of mid-day meals to 150 children in a school in Mundaka village, Delhi, run by another ngo. The project addressed to the nutritional needs of these children. Due to certain transparency issues the project had to be abandoned.
In 2009,Nu life in collaboration with Children International India Trust, sponsored one of the six preschool centers in JJ colony, Bhawana to not only address the nutritional needs like the Mundaka project…, but it also started catering to the educational needs of 25 children. The Pre-Primary program was on the lines of the Integrated Child Development Scheme.
In addition, Nulife also aided the Computer Literacy Centre Project in Alwar, Rajasthan in 2009, in collaboration with another ngo called “ SAPNA”. The aid was provided in the form of computers and instructors.
In alignment with their philosophy and experience, Nulife decided to adopt the Nibaran Roy Pre-Primary School in West Bengal in 2010. Nulife offered transportation, infrastructure, educational and other miscellaneous support to this school. The numbers of beneficiaries were 120 students. However due to governance and transparency issues, this project was halted.
However, in 2010, a group of women started to teach some underprivileged children under a tree in the Central Park of Malibu Towne, Gurgaon, providing them with books and stationery, summer or winter…..A great idea does not need a room to materialize…it just requires a dream and some determination. Nulife observed these selfless efforts and decided to give a more concrete shape to these efforts….So in 2011, Nulife along with these volunteers set up the first centre offering quality education to underprivileged at Malibu Towne, under the Disha Project….The aim was to prepare these children for regular with that very year, 45 children were admitted to Ryan International CS, Sr. Secondary School!!!
But then a thought came…what do these children do after completing education, go back and work as maids or helpers…after all this hard work!!!..... what next???.....So, in 2012, the first vocational training centre was set up in Badshahpur under the Daksha project…to empower these children….to make them more self-reliant….so that they don’t go back to the same rut….
Further, addressing the educational needs of underprivileged children… Nulife entered into a public-private partnership with Rosewood primary government school in 2012. Nulife provided financial, infrastructural, managerial and educational support to this school….in order to augment the school’s capabilities…
And eventually, Nulife spread its wings to bring more and more children under its cover…in 2013 the second centre under the Disha project was opened at Patel Nagar…the second Government primary school at Ghasola under the Lakshya project was adopted…In 2014 the third Disha centre at Badshahpur was opened…The year 2014 saw an increase in students to 150 plus at Disha centre’s and 115 plus students at Daksha centre’s and the NIOS curriculum was adopted.
